Both of these styles give waist definition (whether you have one or not! If you have a bust, there is a place to put it and if you don't, it will appear like you do. Viola!

Take a suit and make it suit you!

What a fabulous way to be suited up! Each jacket style is designed to accentuate a slimmer mid-section (even if yours is missing). The key is in the mix of stripes and prints. Notice the emphasis on the waist. They give an illusion of a waist even if you a challenged in that area!

Notice the front and back of the straight skirt. The buttons are in the back.. I gave it the"sit" test to insure there would be no gaps. The stretch in the fabric allows for the give needed. It "sat" beautifully.

The little print blouse worn under this vest is the same pictured above worn over the little tanks. So versitile!

This little skirt is the sassier version of the straight skirt for those who can handle it!

And here we blend different size stripes in the vest and pants to add depth to the over all look. Viola!

Are these not stunning? Totally unique. I adore that Gaye recycles vintage jewelry into one of a kind pieces of art. Gaye McCance will be at our Open House, February 3rd at our new location at Cypress Square. Please, come and meet her. This one Gaye designed just for me with trinkets I found in my jewery trays at home. I can't wait for you to see it in person.

And, believe it or not, this is the hodge podge of stuff I gave her which she turned into something I will treasure.

Girls Night Out!

What an evening it was in mid February...Girls Night Out at the International Design Center to raise funds for the Southwest Florida Symphony Society. The back drop for the JMS display was the stunning bedroom and dressing room which was designed by Kira Krumm. Check it out!

Perfect for Spring, a stunning little t-shirt with a design emphasis on the shoulder and a feminine sleeve. The mix and match skirts create totally different outfits. They can be worn high on midriff for the new trendy waist definition or lower, turned down on the hip.

LaCite! - Revisiting a Favorite

Laquette - Looks

This second post on Laquette shows off the beauty and versatility of its camis by incorporating them into looks from casual to cocktail. See just the tops here: Favorites - Laquette!

The stripe tank or tee shirt is a MUST in every women's wardrobe. It is a seasonless classic. It mixes and matches with white dress pants for a cruise look, jeans for schlepp or with black skirt or pants for a chic dressier ensemble. But, what makes this stripe "rule" is the gold metalic trim.

A hit of metallic in the wardrobe is seasonless. Embellish a very simple olive, black or white tank with gold and silver or layer it over a solid metallic tank for more punch. Now accessorize with a purse that takes the whole look to a new level. Viola! Style personified.

Do you see it? The power of stripe and metallics? Check out the belts. On the first model the belt is muted olive with gentle gold stoning. The pants? Champagne shimmer fabric. Favorites - Laquette!

Camisoles in classic stripes, trimmed with gold and designed with a low scoop neck enable you to up the level of style by layering it with the camisoles in the picture below. The tank center front simply pulls together a sexy sweetheart style, embellished with black lace to wear under a black cardigan or jacket. Throw it on with jeans or dress it up with black flippy skirt and boots. Remember, camisoles are an important pivotal piece in a wardrobe that really works.

Something big happening this spring is "metallic". It shows up in subtle trim detail on these knit camisoles and "full on" in the solid gold tank above. Such a simple little touch that makes a huge difference in the over all look. Layer them or wear them on their own. Love it!

The reason I fell in love with these tee shirts at the market is because of the jeweled tatoo on the back and the richness of the sheer, velvety looking burn-out fabric. It's elegant, yet simple.

Killer T-Shirt That Says It All!

We have a new arrival from the designer Spy!

Spy is known for it's young edgy style. We think they are new and fresh, a more mellowed out Ed Hardy style. The "burnt out" texture is rich looking and the fabric is light as a feather, so suitable for our SW Fla. weather.

It's simple, young, and fun. Instead of layering to get the depth and dimension critical to style, you can just throw on this novelty top and be done! With the shirts around $90, and the dress at $160, it's a great hit of trend at a reasonable price.

Basics for a Winning Wardrobe

Whatever the sultans of Seventh Avenue may be dictating for the season, the stylish woman will always have certain things in her closet…..

A well made black blazer and pants

A white or ivory silk blouse

Good shoes and basic pair of diamonds/CZ’s

A good basic belt

These things, whatever the time or the fashion, come with the territory of a well dressed woman. It’s smart to mix it up, put the unexpected together, combine investment, luxury pieces with budget conscious basics or more disposable, affordable finds. THAT’S THE ESSENCE OF GREAT STYLE AND THE KEY TO ASTUTE SHOPPING. HERE’S NO EXCUSE NOT TO LOOK GREAT!

You’re busy- and yes, you’ve got issues, but we have a solution for each of those hang-ups. Imagined excuses for not “getting your fashion act” together:
